We count no less than eight important reasons why the new Renatus Chamber Organ is so very special. Like the small chamber organs built by the 17th century organ builder Bernard Schmidt (Father Smith), these organs have wooden pipes. They have a small but comprehensive specification and employ organ building techn iques that would have been unknown to the historic maker. A very special computer age blower which regulates in a very special way to give an exceptionally stable wind flow at a very low pressure. The key and the stop action are unique and control the management of stops and pipes on a very small, compact, sliderless chest.

The inspirational format of Fr. Smith's scaling and tonal architecture show themselves in a wonderfully homogenous chorus. No fighting or screeching trebles; Prinipals which are completely at home with Flutes producing a chorus which, with due modesty we feel Fr. Smith would gladly have endorsed. Add to this an 18th century classical organ case, designed by David Graebe, and we have an instrument which would grace any living room or concert hall.

The pipes are mechanically rigid for transportation and the organ becomes transportable in two pieces with relative ease. A remarkable feature of this organ is the depth of only 51cm and overall space requirement of146cm x 135cm. It will transpose at the touch of a switch to A = 415, 440 and 392.
